What Kind of Shoes do you Wear: Gospel Shoes!

I wrote this poem for an internal church magazine back in August 2006. Enjoy!

Have you heard the buzz?

Have you heard the news?

God has given you Gospel shoes!

Not made of lead,

Not made of metal,

But you can bet they’ve crushed the devil.

They are the only shoes you have.

They are the only shoes you need.

They are the only shoes that can plant a seed.

Where are yours? Let’s dust them off,

Let’s get them fixed.

Because you are the one God has picked.

There is a job that only you can do,

And that’s why He’s given you those Gospel shoes!
